In January 2008, UWA signed a new Site licence with ISI ResearchSoft. This has improved the conditions of how the EndNotes software can be distributed to Staff and Students and since the software is centrally funded it can be made available at no charge.
For staff and students in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (FAHSS), there will be two different approaches in facilitating the provision of EndNote: EndNote on UWA owned ComputersFor these machines, Faculty Computing (FC) will load, document and maintain EndNote as part of the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) installation, along with managing the licensing implications of this. There is no need for FAHSS Schools or users to deal with Information Technology Services (ITS) Software with respect to licensing these machines.
Any staff user who does not have access to EndNote should contact ithelp-fahss@uwa.edu.au.
EndNote on non-UWA owned machinesFor these users and machines (privately-owned staff or student machines), you need only access the Software Download site (https://software.webservices.uwa.edu.au/Login.aspx) and download the appropriate EndNote.
NOTE that only UWA enrolled Students will be able to access this site; both staff and students must use their PHEME login details to gain access.
If you encounter any problems with your PHEME login details then please contact ITS Helpdesk on ext 2822 or email to itshelp@admin.uwa.edu.au.
